I love Hall & Oates. The blue-eyed soul is timeless. What once started as a guilty pleasure blossomed into full-fledged adoration.
Of their many classics, I think I'll pick 2003's "Man on a Mission" as an unheard gem. It played on the Musak when I waited tables at a popular Chinese-American restaurant, not long after I moved to Tennessee. It was always played back-to-back with Morrissey. That was strangely satisfying, much like the the salt-and-pepper prawns which smelled like wet dog but tasted amazing.
