The year 2000 was a weird time. A lot of music and movies that were released then seem incredibly dated now, but I guess that's what you get when everything starts changing really quickly.
"Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus is a prime example of time-capsule music from the turn of the century. I loved it in 2000 and still have fond memories, but the Weezer-light schtick wore thin quickly. It's really not a very good song, and the singer's voice makes me want to fill my ears with piping-hot wax now. I still find myself singing along whenever I hear it though. The love-hate relationship will never really die, I suppose.
